Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Clinical Project Manager to lead global oncology-focused clinical studies in a fully remote role. You will drive start-up through closeout, maintain quality and financial oversight, and directly engage clients as a confident project leader.

Must have 4+ years of CRO project management and 7+ years in clinical research, with strong emphasis on oncology and radiopharmaceuticals or cell therapy. Travel domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of recent project management experience from a CRO
• 7+ years in clinical research with CRO experience preferred
• Oncology experience with radiopharmaceuticals or cell therapy is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and escalation point for assigned clinical study projects.
• Coordinate and oversee external vendors to meet timelines and budget.
• Manage study budget, change orders, and forecasting to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with clinical operations to deliver trial activities and oversee clinical work as needed.
• Monitor project profitability, hours, billing accuracy, and forecasting.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure quality management, eTMF readiness, and CAPA processes.
• Review study documentation for alignment and quality across functions.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to track progress and risks.
• Provide clear status updates to clients and senior management.
• Lead internal and client meetings, set expectations, and define roles.
• Communicate protocol and study issues to clients and management.
• Present to diverse audiences and participate in bid defenses.
• Oversee training and ensure ongoing compliance during projects.
• Support business development and travel to client meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties to support objectives.
