Job summary

Ensono is seeking an Expert Automation & Observability Engineer to lead enterprise observability, APM, and telemetry initiatives across hybrid cloud and Kubernetes environments. You will champion SRE practices, drive FOAK implementations, and design scalable, secure telemetry pipelines with a focus on reliability.

Responsibilities include defining SLIs/SLOs, incident leadership, and Observability-as-Code using tools like IBM Instana, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Telegraf, and InfluxDB.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of total IT experience; 5–7 years as Lead Architect/SRE/Principal Observability Engineer in a large enterprise.
• Proven track record migrating orgs from legacy monitoring to proactive observability.
• Hands-on experience building scalable, secure telemetry pipelines and time-series databases.
• Extensive experience leading FOAK rollouts and complex vendor/ops transitions (KT).
• Preferred Certifications: CKA, Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure) or vendor APM/Observability certs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern a unified observability framework covering metrics, logs, traces, and events.
• Lead FOAK implementations, evaluating new observability tech and turning them into production-ready patterns.
• Define enterprise telemetry standards for pipelines, retention, high-cardinality controls, and cost management.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and lead major incident war rooms with RCA and learning.
• Drive Observability-as-Code and automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and GitOps.
• Design deep observability for Kubernetes, multi-cloud, and secure-by-design telemetry pipelines.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and lead KT programs for 24x7 operations.
