Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to drive modernization of legacy apps into cloud-native AWS services. You will guide the engineering team, collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, and offshore developers to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering .NET services and APIs, migrating logic from stored procedures to C# services, mentoring offshore teams, and ensuring secure, compliant deployments with CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, incl 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience designing, building, deploying microservices or distributed apps.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL.
• Experience migrating business logic from stored procedures to services.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, JWT security.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging like SQS/SNS/EventBridge.
• Experience automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/API).
• Leadership experience managing offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, standards, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor offshore development teams and remove delivery blockers.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by extracting logic from SQL Server procedures into C# services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, reliable deployments with compliance.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and security.
