Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to modernize legacy applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery of .NET services, mentor offshore teams, and drive CI/CD and testing excellence for secure, scalable deployments.

This remote US role offers collaboration with architects, product owners, and offshore developers, with a focus on modernizing data architectures and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and T-SQL development.
• Experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into services.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specs, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event-driven tech.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/API/contract).
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor offshore teams and provide regular progress updates to leadership.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by extracting business logic into scalable services; maintain parity via automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure deployments with compliance.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools while ensuring code quality, security, and sound decisions.
