Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a remote-first team focused on renewable energy solutions. You will design and optimize mechanical systems for energy generation and storage, and lead projects across global teams.

You will perform simulations (FEA/CFD), develop detailed documentation, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in energy applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with energy systems emphasis.
• 7+ years in mechanical design/analysis within the energy sector.
• Expertise in SolidWorks or Inventor and simulation tools (ANSYS/COMSOL).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and analysis of components and systems for renewable energy technologies.
• Perform detailed simulations (FEA, CFD) to predict performance and thermal management.
• Develop design specs, manufacturing drawings, and test protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated design.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
