Job summary

Placements24 client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its advanced engineering team. You will conceptualize, design, and refine complex mechanical components and assemblies for automated machinery, leveraging CAD, FEA/CFD, and robust design practices in a remote-first environment.

You will collaborate with distributed engineers, drive design reviews, and optimize for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA or Inventor and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical systems and components for automated machinery.
• Perform FEA and CFD to ensure structural performance.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams across disciplines.
• Lead virtual design reviews and document design decisions.
• Oversee prototyping and testing to validate designs.
