Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global robotics and automation team. You will design, simulate, and optimize mechanical systems for advanced robotic platforms, delivering CAD models, drawings, and test plans while collaborating with electrical, software and control engineers.

The role requires a BS/MS in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in robotics or mechatronics, expertise in SolidWorks/CATIA/Fusion360, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design with robotics, automation or mechatronics.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and advanced simulation tools; strong understanding of mechanisms, actuators, sensors, and control systems.

Mansioni

• Lead the mechanical design of robotic systems from concept to detailed design and implementation.
• Develop complex 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic simulations (FEA/CFD) to validate designs.
• Specify materials, components, and manufacturing processes with cost, weight and reliability in mind.
• Collaborate with electrical, software and control engineers for integrated solutions.
• Prepare design reports, test plans and manufacturing instructions.
