Job summary

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking an experienced manager to lead a virtual Sales Assistant team that powers our linear and digital sales operation. You will set standards for excellence, build scalable processes, grow talent, and partner with Sales Leadership to enhance seller productivity and customer experience.

You will guide teams through change, develop high-performing staff, and use analytics to drive continuous improvement in a fast-moving media environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Prior managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and service standards to ensure consistent execution.
• Oversee staffing, workload balancing, and resource allocation to maximize team efficiency and seller support.
• Create and lead training, onboarding, and professional development programs that build media sales and systems expertise.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, customer service, and ongoing learning.
• Serve as a change leader by guiding teams through evolving business priorities, technologies, and transformation initiatives.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to improve seller productivity, customer experience, and revenue-generating effectiveness.
• Use KPIs, productivity metrics, and data insights to monitor performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to influence decisions, support enterprise initiatives, and enhance processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.
