Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager in the United States to own end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements—from assessment to handover. You will drive scope, schedule, cost and risk with independence, and mentor junior PMs across the Enterprise Services practice.

The role emphasizes disciplined analysis, cross-team coordination, and delivery excellence in complex, regulated environments, with remote options and an executive sponsor-focused delivery narrative.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering technology projects for external customers.
• Ownership of engagements from initiation to closeout with accountability for scope, schedule and cost.
• Experience delivering software implementation or systems integration in complex environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned engagements end to end with autonomy and accountability.
• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization engagements from initiation through closeout.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate migration, re-platforming or re-hosting and integration with hybrid cloud targets.
• Lead status meetings, provide delivery narratives and escalate with recommendations.
• Coach and review less experienced project managers and contribute to PM templates.
