Job summary

Rocket Software in the United States is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager to own end-to-end delivery of mainframe modernization engagements—from assessment and planning through migration, cutover, stabilization and handover—in production-critical environments.

You will run engagements with autonomy, coach others, and contribute templates and best practices across Enterprise Services, ensuring scope, schedule, cost and quality are managed and customer relationships built.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering technology projects including external client work.
• Ownership of engagements end-to-end with accountability for scope, schedule and cost.
• Experience with software implementation or systems integration in complex environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials models.
• Strong written reporting and customer communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization engagements from initiation to closeout with autonomy.
• Hold accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple workstreams.
• Manage assessment, migration, re-platforming, testing, cutover and handover activities.
• Coordinate with integration points and hybrid cloud targets; ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Facilitate regular status meetings and provide delivery-ready reporting and documentation.
• Coach and review less experienced PMs; contribute templates and best practices.
• Engage with customers and partners to manage expectations and resolution.
