Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing experience. The role leads design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.

Responsibilities include developing mainframe solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding deployments and post-implementation activities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with mainframe technologies including CICS and MQ.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related workflows.
• Understanding of code migration and release management processes.
• Experience creating packages and promoting code across Dev, Test, QA, Prod.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and offshore teams.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Collaborates effectively with business stakeholders and offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming requirements into scalable, compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, PMs, and support teams for successful projects.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as key contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments and post-implementation activities.
