Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Corporate IT team in Durham, NC. You will lead backend services and UI work, architect solutions for AWS/Connect, and mentor developers in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

You will design and implement Amazon Connect features, build RESTful services, and drive a DevOps culture with automated builds, tests, and deployments. Strong Java, Spring, and cloud experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of experience in Architect/Lead/Engineer roles.
• Expert knowledge of Java enterprise development and integration middleware.
• 3+ years of hands-on architecture for large enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of back-end services and UI development.
• Document architectural decisions and present to stakeholders.
• Provide architectural guidance to the development team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create agile, intuitive software.
• Deliver prototypes and reusable microservice components.
• Design and implement Amazon Connect related features.
• Develop complex RESTful services in an Agile environment.
• Conduct code and design reviews and enforce best practices.
• Design and run functional/system integration tests and automation.
• Foster a DevOps culture around CI/CD, builds, deployments, and scaling.
• Contribute to SOA standards and perform impact analysis.
• Mentor and train developers to solve technical challenges.
• Drive innovation and creative thinking in solution development.
