Job summary
Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer/Developer to design and implement reliable AWS-based solutions. You will apply software engineering practices to build scalable utilities, while reducing toil and driving SRE maturity.
The role emphasizes Python development, Terraform IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and on-call incident support, with a focus on observable, automated, and resilient cloud platforms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of advanced Python development experience for AWS.
- 7+ years software development with focus on reliability and platform engineering.
- 3+ years hands-on AWS experience with core services and cost optimization.
- 3+ years applying SRE principles: observability, toil automation, SLIs/SLOs.
- Terraform IaC expertise with modules and state management.
- Strong CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reliability solutions and SRE tooling in AWS using Python.
- Build IaC with Terraform to manage AWS resources for SRE solutions.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated tests for rapid, reliable delivery.
- Define SRE standards, metrics (SLI/SLO) and postmortems for incidents.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scaled Agile teams and support on-call duties.
- Stay current with AWS services and drive adoption of innovative solutions.
