Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an IT Procurement Lead (Senior Category Manager) to establish category strategies and sourcing plans for enterprise technology products and services.

You will manage end-to-end sourcing, negotiate complex software and technology-enabled services agreements, and align technology investments with business priorities and risk requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or related field.
• Minimum eight years in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or related role.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating healthcare technology solutions in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines informed by priorities, spend, risk and TCO.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives: requirements, market assessment, events, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and implementation support.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data and tech-enabled services agreements, including pricing, licensing, SLAs, data rights, and renewal protections.
• Advise senior leaders on sourcing strategies, market dynamics, options, risks, and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and Architecture to support decisions and stakeholder experience.
• Manage strategic suppliers through contract lifecycle focusing on performance, renewals, and value realization.
• Create business cases, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations while tracking market trends.
