Job summary

Humana Inc. in the United States seeks an IT Procurement Lead to own category strategies and sourcing plans for software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services.

You will lead negotiations, supplier selection, and contract execution while partnering with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Enterprise Architecture to align technology spend with business priorities in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or related field.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating, or managing healthcare technology solutions in a regulated industry.
• Experience negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to consider business, clinical, regulatory, privacy, security, data, and integration in sourcing decisions.
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior leaders, translating requirements into sourcing strategies.
• Experience managing strategic supplier performance, contracts, renewals, and value realization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines aligned with business priorities.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including requirements, market assessment, and supplier evaluation.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Advise senior leaders on market dynamics, supplier options, and commercial risks.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers across the contract lifecycle for performance and risk.
• Deliver cost optimization, demand management, and supplier-enabled innovation.
• Develop financial analyses, business cases, and executive-ready negotiation strategies.
