Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF lifecycle activities for government contracts, including A&A across complex systems and emerging tech like AI/ML platforms. The role emphasizes mentorship of junior ISSO staff and compliance with NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253, and DoD 8570.01-M standards.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting RMF assessments across multiple network environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent A&A assessments.
• Experience with RMF artifact packages and BOE documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute RMF lifecycle activities across multiple systems and networks.
• Maintain SSPs, SARs, SAPs, POA&Ms, and other RMF artifacts.
• Conduct concurrent RMF assessments with proper documentation.
• Assess emerging tech systems and adapt baselines for novel types.
• Manage evidence collection and BOE packages for audits and reviews.
• Review vulnerability results and drive POA&M remediation to closure.
• Provide security metrics, dashboards, and status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253, and client policies.
• Manage workflow in JIRA for assessment pipelines.
• Mentor junior ISSO staff and develop SOPs to improve processes.
