Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate insurance product decisions into implementable requirements for Engineering and Tech Product. The role sits at the intersection of insurance product development, operations, and technical delivery, with deep P&C product knowledge.

You will own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and changes across multiple teams, leading UAT, acceptance criteria, and implementation validation to ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business/ systems analysis, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Translate insurance concepts (coverages, forms, endorsements, rating structures, eligibility rules, and state variations) into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.
• Working knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and how product decisions are configured in policy administration systems.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, decision tables, data mappings, and current- and future-state documentation.
• Experience partnering with Engineering/IT teams in an Agile delivery environment, including requirements clarification, UAT, and implementation validation.
• Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clearly documented decisions and surface ambiguity early.
• Knowledge of policy administration systems and how rating, forms, and eligibility are configured in production.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements questions during development as the primary point of contact.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and business reviews to confirm product changes are correctly implemented.
• Document current-state processes and define future-state workflows.
• Build user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria for engineers to implement accurately.
• Coordinate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Tech Product.
• Maintain traceability from decisions through implementation and testing.
