The ideal candidate has 5+ years of coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC credentials, and proficiency with EMR and Excel. This remote position offers full-time hours and comprehensive benefits across the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding experience.
• 2+ years of outpatient facility and professional coding experience.
• 2+ years of Observation Coding and I&I Coding.
• 2+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• Intermediate MS Excel and EMR systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and CPT-4 codes for hospital observations.
• Abstract additional data elements during chart review.
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and query physicians.
• Maintain up-to-date coding knowledge via supervisor materials.
• Participate in coding department meetings and educational events.
