Qualifications

• 5+ years of inpatient coding experience required.
• Experience coding highly complex inpatient encounters.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• Experience in an academic medical center or Level I trauma environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, POA indicators, and other coding elements for complex inpatient encounters.
• Review highly specialized inpatient records (trauma, transplant, critical care, advanced medical and surgical services).
• Maintain coding quality, productivity, accuracy, and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with providers, CDI professionals, auditors, and revenue cycle teams.
• Utilize Epic EHR, Solventum 360 CAC, and Microsoft applications; work independently in teleworking environment.
