Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• AHIMA and/or AAPC credentials required at hire and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Work acute inpatient hospital claim edits, denials, and 3-day rule combines.
• Recodes medical records to satisfy claims and denials.
• Analyses medical records to ensure accurate coding and improve documentation quality.
• Collects and abstracts data elements.
• Assist customers with unbilled and incomplete records.
