Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Senior Inpatient Coder to accurately code hospital inpatient accounts for reimbursement, research, and compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS standards. You will work remotely, supporting coding accuracy and timely billing across hospital departments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding, experience with Level 1 Trauma and Rehab, and hold CCS/RHIT/RHIA/CIC certifications or equivalent training; a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding and abstracting experience.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma and Rehab hospital preferred; or 4 years in inpatient coding.
• Formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training; degree preferred.
• Certifications: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CIC.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient accounts accurately for reimbursement and compliance.
• Analyze complex cases and consult with staff.
• Collaborate with senior coders and CDI.
• Meet timeframes and maintain quality and productivity.
• Communicate with billing, registration, auditing teams; address issues.
