CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness with a remote opportunity to join our Animal Nutrition team as a Senior Purchasing Specialist. You will purchase commodities and ingredients for feed manufacturing facilities across the U.S., using strong communication, attention to detail and passion to drive success.

Preferably located within Sioux Falls, SD or St. Paul, MN area, with a focus on strategic sourcing, negotiation and ERP-based purchasing to support customer orders and reformulation

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field; strong relationship building and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review sources of supply and select vendors based on data.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery to keep orders in full and on time.
• Create purchase orders and contracts; place orders in the ERP.
• Communicate supply issues with manufacturing and other teams.
• Collaborate with Global Grain Marketing to reduce cost of goods.
• Develop purchasing strategies for ingredients.
• Promote safety culture and follow all safety policies.
