Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure platform infrastructure in a 100% remote role. You will work with DevOps, security, and software teams to automate, monitor, and optimize deployments while adhering to DoW security requirements.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, and reliability across cloud environments, with travel up to 10% and the possibility of various certifications to advance in the program.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoW Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 4 years in platform engineering, DevOps, CloudOps, or IaC roles.
• Strong experience with Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Deep understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with networking, security, and sysadmin best practices.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and secure platform infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment and operations.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity and address issues proactively.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize application performance and deployment.
• Implement observability with logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Ensure security and operational standards across environments.
• Drive automation of manual processes to reduce risk.
