Job summary

System One is seeking an Infrastructure Senior Engineer for a remote role. You will lead initiatives across servers, storage, firewalls, email, telecom, backups, data centers, and disaster recovery, while designing and maintaining hosted and cloud infrastructure in line with Technology Services standards.

You will support resolution efforts with senior staff, implement monitoring for performance visibility, and drive QA for new deployments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with architecting Fortinet, VMware, Barracuda, Data Centers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Cisco network, VOIP, Veeam, Windows Server, Linux and monitoring technologies preferred.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead installations, upgrades, and support of servers, storage, firewalls, email, telecom, backup, data centers, mobile devices, and disaster recovery.
• Architect, document, administrate, and maintain hosted and cloud infrastructure per Technology Services standards.
• Provide support to the Response & Resolution Team and senior staff for requests and incidents.
• Design and implement monitoring tools to report on performance, capacity, and response times.
• Define system testing and QA for new or changed systems.
• Develop backup, patch management, security updates, and data center maintenance procedures.
• Maintain technology standards, governance, and metrics to deliver value.
• Pursue training to stay current on technology trends.
• Lead documentation development for network and computer systems under Infrastructure Manager.
• Assist in developing security-related policies, standards, and practices.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
