Job summary

My IT Crew seeks a Senior Infrastructure Project Engineer to design, plan, and deliver complex IT projects beyond standard MSP services. You will own project design, timelines, documentation, and budgets, ensuring handoff readiness to the service team.

You will lead onboarding, discovery, and environment assessments, standardize environments, and drive secure, scalable solutions across networking, servers, and cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Requires leading complex IT projects outside standard managed services.
• Ownership of design, timelines, and budgets for projects.
• Delivers according to best practices and client requirements.
• Owns onboarding until transition to steady-state support.

Responsibilities

• Lead client onboarding, discovery, and environment assessments.
• Standardize client environments to MSP best practices (M365, Azure AD, AD, security, backups, monitoring).
• Ensure environments are fully documented and integrated into internal systems.
• Act as the technical lead through onboarding to steady-state support.
• Design technical solutions meeting client business needs.
• Create scopes of work, estimates, and project work plans.
• Define project phases, tasks, dependencies, resources, and checklists.
• Identify risks and out-of-scope work early.
• Execute projects per plans and standards.
• Track progress, hours, and scope alignment.
• Deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.
• Design and implement network, server, cloud, and migration projects.
• Collaborate across routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and hybrid environments.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, diagrams, and ticket notes.
• Contribute to templates, checklists, and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with Project/Account/Client Success teams.
