Job summary

System One is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure that powers its business-critical applications and services. The role spans cloud and on-premises environments, requiring collaboration with network, security, and operations to deliver highly available, secure solutions.

Responsibilities include administering Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity management, plus automation with PowerShell and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Systems Administration experience.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
• Deep understanding of: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP Networking, Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience managing Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal uptime.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives.
• Maintain system security standards, patching processes, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and security best practices.
• Document system configurations, environments, and operational procedures.
