Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL) in Richardson, Texas, seeks a qualified immigration professional to manage a high-volume employment-based caseload and oversee a team of paralegals and assistants.

You will conduct foreign national consultations, review complex documents, and apply evolving labor and immigration regulations. Proficiency with BAL's Cobalt system will help track deadlines and ensure compliant, efficient case progression.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• 12 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Active license to practice law in the U.S. and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume, varied caseload of employment-based immigration matters (PERM, H-1B, L-1, TN).
• Directly supervise, mentor, and review daily work of paralegals and immigration assistants.
• Conduct consultations with foreign national employees to assess immigration history and visa strategies.
• Review and finalize complex legal documents prior to government filing.
• Perform legal research on evolving DOL regulations, USCIS policies, and federal immigration laws.
• Leverage BAL's Cobalt system to monitor workflows and deadlines for all matters.
• Ensure filings meet government and firm standards. May telecommute.
