Job summary

Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL) seeks a Senior Associate to lead business immigration matters for major corporate clients. You will manage client relationships, oversee a team of attorneys and paralegals, and drive complex NIV/IV filings with accuracy and strategic insight.

Reporting to Equity or Income Partners, you will mentor junior staff, refine processes, and contribute to firm initiatives while balancing a demanding caseload in a hybrid, Texas-based office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a corporate immigration attorney with experience overseeing paralegal work and managing complex casework (NIV/IV).
• Strong written and spoken English; secondary languages a plus.
• Proficient with computer tools and software used in legal practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead advocacy for business immigration matters including complex cases.
• Represent the firm at client sites and meetings; build strong client relationships.
• Supervise and mentor a team of attorneys and paralegals; ensure accuracy in work product.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys on policies, procedures, and law practice initiatives.
• Participate in hiring and performance reviews for associates and paralegals.
