Job summary

Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL) in Houston, TX, is seeking a Case Coordinator to manage intake materials and coordinate case start paperwork for legal teams. The role requires frequent client interaction, documentation control, and close collaboration with employees and managers.

You will handle case questionnaires, maintain databases, and support senior staff in a fast-paced immigration practice. A strong customer focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of office experience.
• Experience in a law or immigration environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate cases with direct client/employee interaction via phone or email.
• Track employer/employee information and prepare materials for legal teams.
• Respond to routine client queries and escalate as needed.
• Open projects in the firm’s database and manage case questionnaires.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and returned timely; follow up as needed.
• Coordinate and organize all incoming case start materials in the database.
