Maximus is seeking a Part Time Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client. This is a remote position requiring an active Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining IBM COBOL programs, updating DB2/CICS interfaces, writing unit tests, and documenting changes. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success on this engagement.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• At least five years of COBOL experience and IBM COBOL programming language.
• Experience with DB2, IBM DB2 utilities, and CICS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with management.
• Preferred: experience with IRS processing systems; SQL, JCL, Batch processing.

Mansioni

• Create, update, unit test, and maintain IBM COBOL programs.
• Update documentation such as Functional Specification Packages and PRPs.
• Track requirements and execute unit test cases.
• Review and comment on documentation like UWRs, IRMs, ICDs, COHs.
• Rewrite programs to improve efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
• Provide guidance and collaborate with managers, engineers, and testers.
