Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to translate vendor data specifications into detailed mappings for the Enterprise Data Platform and to liaise among business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.

The candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in analytics or related field and possess advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, and Databricks skills, with experience building source-to-target mappings and technical specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field is required.
• Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, and Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Experience solving business problems with data.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Translate vendor file specifications, layouts and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Act as a liaison among business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to ensure proper data integration and delivery.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain data accuracy.
• Use analytic skills to provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
