Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative for a National Remote role. You will serve as a key communicator for providers, educate customers about programs, and promote superior service while resolving issues per corporate guidelines.

The position is full-time with 8-hour shifts and possible overtime. Responsibilities include handling customer concerns by phone, coordinating with physicians, health plans, and IPA staff, and logging issues for follow-up in the CS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications.
• Ability to type 40 - 50 words per minute.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday with shifts 7:30 am - 4:00 pm PST and possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Occasional shadowing/training of newly hired staff.
• Receives and records customer concerns via phone and resolves per guidelines.
• Liaison between physician, health plan, and IPA staff.
• Interprets provider and health plan contracts for accurate responses.
• Logs issues into the CS Tracking database for resolution/follow-up.
• Plans workload to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Responds to callers with timely resolutions per department guidelines.
• Participates in telephonic surveys as required by management.
• Adheres to department/organization guidelines to meet goals.
• Maintains high-quality and quantity of calls; fosters teamwork and empathy.
