Job summary

Fidus is seeking an experienced FPGA Designer to design and deliver complex FPGA-based systems for clients. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to define architectures, implement RTL, integrate IP, run simulations, and support lab bring-up.

You should enjoy working with new FPGA families, handle multiple domains such as video, communications, and signal processing, and produce high-quality, well-documented designs. Remote work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of RTL/Verilog/VHDL FPGA design experience.
• Experience with video systems, high-speed memory interfaces, and DSP or processor instantiations.
• Hands-on with Xilinx/Intel FPGA toolchains and solid RTL verification skills.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex FPGA/CPLD systems including architecture, IP integration, simulations, and timing closure.
• Design FPGA-based systems using Xilinx and Intel devices and tools.
• Participate in hardware-software interface reviews to meet standards.
• Perform lab bring-up, debugging, and prototype support.
• Prepare test plans, design descriptions, and user documentation.
• Provide technical input during pre-sales and project proposals.
• Estimate project scope, schedule, and deliverables with the Business/Sales team.
