F5 is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced hardware for high-performance electronic systems. You will guide architecture, specify hardware subsystems, and mentor engineers through production release.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years in electrical hardware design for high-speed digital, analog and mixed-signal systems.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and hardware design tools (Cadence, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC and thermal considerations.
  • Verilog HDL programming for CPLD design.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills at board and system levels.
  • Experience with Intel x86 motherboard design and high-speed interfaces (DDR4/5, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
  • Act as a technical authority for new/complex assignments.
  • Lead system-level hardware design for new products and define architecture.
  • Collaborate to define system requirements and write specifications for hardware subsystems.
  • Drive design for manufacturability, testability, and reliability across development phases.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to guide product directions.
  • Mentor engineers and review work for quality and efficiency.
  • Present technical information within the hardware team.
