Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grid Operations Analyst for a remote-first role focused on real-time grid performance, stability, and market operations. You will analyze data, model grid behavior, and provide strategic insights from your home office, collaborating with engineers, operators, and market participants.

Requirements include a master's in Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in power system operations or energy markets, and proficiency with Python, R, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in power system operations, grid analysis, or energy market operations.
• Strong data analysis skills with experience in Python, R, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time grid conditions, power flow, and market operations for stability.
• Identify operational risks, contingencies, and emergencies; propose responses.
• Develop analytical models to forecast grid performance, load, and generation.
• Prepare reports and presentations on grid performance and KPIs.
• Collaborate with operators, planners, and market participants to optimize operations.
• Support policy, procedures, and emergency plan development.
• Conduct post-event analysis to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Stay current on tech, regulations, and grid best practices.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and teams.
• Drive continuous improvement with data-driven insights.
