Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Power Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead power flow studies, stability analyses, and grid interconnection work for renewables across a global grid. Strong self-discipline and virtual collaboration are essential.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in power system analysis, familiarity with PSS/E/ETAP/PSCAD, and excellent remote communication skills to coordinate with utilities and project teams worldwide.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems specialization.
Minimum 7 years of experience in power system analysis and grid integration.
Proficiency with power system simulation software (PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
Strong understanding of load flow, stability, and grid dynamics.

Responsibilities

Perform power flow, short circuit, and transient stability analyses for complex power systems.
Develop grid interconnection studies and specifications for renewable energy projects.
Design and optimize protection schemes and control systems for grid stability.
Evaluate the impact of distributed energy resources on grid performance.
