The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in grid operations, familiarity with PSS/E/PSLF/PowerWorld, and a PE registration. This remote position offers strategic influence on national grid stability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• 8+ years in power grid operations and stability analysis.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams in critical operations.
• Experience with power system modeling tools (PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld).
• Strong knowledge of grid codes and regulations (NERC).
• Experience with SCADA, EMS, and real-time operation tools.
• Excellent communication and remote leadership skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is desirable.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct grid operations engineering teams focused on stability and reliability.
• Develop strategies for maintaining grid stability and managing operational risks.
• Conduct transient, voltage, and frequency stability studies.
• Oversee real-time grid operations ensuring compliance with limits and regs.
• Mentor power system engineers with technical guidance.
• Collaborate with planning, protection, and market ops teams.
• Develop and refine operational procedures and emergency plans.
• Analyze disturbances, identify root causes, implement fixes.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for grid operations.
• Represent the company in industry forums and working groups.
