Placements24 is seeking a Lead Grid Integration Engineer to drive the integration of renewable energy assets into the national grid. This fully remote role targets a senior professional with deep power systems expertise and leadership capabilities.

The role emphasizes grid stability, dynamic simulations, and coordination with utilities, developers, and equipment manufacturers. Remote collaboration and strong communication are essential to succeed in this global, distributed team.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power systems engineering and grid integration of renewables.
Deep knowledge of dynamics, stability, fault studies, and protection principles.
Experience with grid codes and interconnection standards across regions.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design and analysis of grid integration for renewables (solar, wind, storage).
Develop and validate power system models for stability and power quality.
Run dynamic simulations and contingency analyses to assess grid impacts.
Define requirements for grid connection agreements and protection schemes.
Collaborate with utilities, developers, and equipment manufacturers.
Provide guidance on grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor a team of grid integration engineers and specialists.
Support grid modernization, flexibility, and resilience initiatives.
Review and approve study reports, specs, and commissioning plans.
Stay updated on grid technologies and energy storage advances.
