Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. Home-based work is available.

This role coordinates the strategic operational execution of a multi-million-dollar grant-funded department, serving as a cross-functional liaison among program strategy, financial management, compliance, and organizational operations. You translate programmatic goals into budgets, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency, accountability, and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience in grant management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into program and monitors processes.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership teams and funder expectations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures; provide variance reporting and forecasting.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and development.
• Develops internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Acts as Voices technology coordinator to optimize grantmaking systems.
• Builds relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees.
• Leads or contributes to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to operational planning for grant-making through system enhancements.
• Provides guidance and oversight; may serve as team lead.
