Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Legal Counsel, Global Commercial Contracts to join its Enterprise Technology team in a remote capacity. You will serve as a key legal partner on a global commercial contracting portfolio, negotiating complex agreements and advising across regions to enable efficient business progress.

The ideal candidate brings in-house experience, strong judgment, and a track record in drafting templates and contracting processes that support operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, including 4 years as in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Structure, review, and negotiate a variety of complex commercial agreements across different regions.
• Assess and mitigate risks to ensure compliance and reflect business needs in contracts.
• Conduct detailed analyses of client contractual issues across regions and clients.
• Provide timely responses to inter-departmental inquiries on contractual obligations.
• Advise management on complicated client matters, highlighting potential risks and compliance issues.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and internal departments globally.
• Develop and implement contract procedures and templates to enhance operational efficiency.
