Ladders, a leader in the Information Technology space, is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join the team as a key partner to the commercial teams. You will support fast-moving technology transactions, guide deal structure, negotiate agreements, and translate legal issues into practical advice that enables strong business decisions.

This role emphasizes building scalable legal processes and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a high-growth, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Law degree with active bar eligibility to practice.
• Experience in commercial transactions within technology companies, preferably in-house.
• Proven ability to scale legal functions or business processes in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Ability to assess and manage business risks effectively.
• Experience leading complex negotiations with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor and customer contracts
• Advise Sales on deal structuring, strategy, and risk considerations
• Translate legal complexities into actionable recommendations for internal teams
• Develop and improve legal templates and self-service resources
• Collaborate with Security and Product teams on customer commitments related to emerging technologies
• Assist Finance with pricing and revenue-related legal matters
• Support international deals and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
