Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accounting Manager to oversee statutory reporting across international entities and lead a team of accountants. The role ensures integrity in key GL areas, partners with CAO/Legal and external auditors, and drives close governance and process improvements.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting acumen, 8+ years in accounting, and proven people leadership, with experience in a globally diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including in publicly traded companies.
• 3 years of direct people management experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Operational and technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Experience preparing/overseeing financial statements and statutory reports with local auditors across jurisdictions.
• Technical accounting experience with debt, investments, prepaids, intangibles, and fixed assets.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage Intacct, BlackLine, BNA, Coupa, Workday).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide end-to-end oversight and coordination of the annual statutory reporting process across multiple international entities.
• Lead and develop a team of direct reports through coaching and clear priorities.
• Review close deliverables for balance sheet areas including reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis.
• Deliver monthly management reporting and executive reviews for Finance leadership.
• Conclude on complex transactions under local GAAP and coordinate US GAAP treatment.
• Partner with business units to provide financial guidance on activities.
• Drive close optimization and governance through automation and AI-driven tools.
• Communicate close results and status of statutory reporting to management.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and process documentation.
• Lead cross-functional projects and system enhancements.
