Job summary

Vantage42 is seeking an experienced engineer to shape its flagship institutional-investing app. You will own complex workflows across interface, backend and data, delivering evidence-backed agent analysis in reliable, intuitive experiences used by investment teams.

This role requires building on a stateful agent architecture with event-driven agents, typed models, and source-linked claims while ensuring data integrity and security in a fully remote US team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years shipping production web applications.
• Excellent SQL, relational data modeling, APIs and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM or agent-powered functionality to real users, with rigorous evaluation and human-in-the-loop design.
• Strong written communication in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end institutional workflows for portfolio monitoring, diligence, valuation, LP reporting, document review and investment decision-making.
• Make complex agent outputs understandable: show sources, confidence, changes, disagreements and actions requiring human approval.
• Work directly with investment teams and Customer Success; turn ambiguous user needs into simple, fast, resilient product experiences.
• Own production quality through testing, code review, monitoring, incident follow-through and maintainable APIs and interfaces.
