Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced Florida Commercial Title Examiner. This remote role can be performed from anywhere in the United States, but requires Florida title examination experience.

You will review public records, summarize documents, and handle complex property titles, including multi-site projects. You’ll bring 6+ years of title examination experience, Florida expertise, and active licenses across states.

Qualifications

• 6+ years title examination experience.
• Florida commercial title examination experience.
• Multiple state licenses to do business across broad geographic areas.
• Strong detail and quality orientation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Customer service orientation and professional communication.
• Knowledge of legal terms used in title documents.
• Ability to read and decipher legal descriptions related to title orders.

Responsibilities

• Examines chain of title for commercial/industrial properties.
• Performs title examination of complex orders requiring high expertise.
• Abstracts and analyzes records (leases, liens, easements, etc.).
• Writes title products per procedural guidelines.
• Provides underwriting interpretation within guidelines.
• May have customer contact.
• Other duties as assigned.
