Job summary

First American is seeking experienced Florida Title Examiners to join our team. This remote role can be performed from anywhere in the United States, but Florida title examination experience is required.

You will search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of the property title for residential properties, and prepare commitments when needed. Senior duties include mentoring less experienced teammates, handling complex orders, writing title products, and providing

Qualifications

• Florida title examination experience required.
• 5+ years of title examination experience with mastery of resources, skills and knowledge.
• Multiple state licenses as required to do business in a broad geographic area.
• Strong detail/quality orientation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of legal terms used in title documents.

Responsibilities

• Examines chain of title primarily for residential properties, may expand to commercial/industrial.
• Performs title examination of complex title orders requiring high level of title expertise.
• Abstracts and analyzes records to determine ownership and legal restrictions and verify descriptions.
• Writes title products based on procedural guidelines.
• Provides underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
• Mentors less experienced team members and may have customer contact.
