Responsibilities

Performs title examination and checks chain of title for residential orders.
Abstracts and analyzes records (mortgages, liens, judgments, easements) to verify ownership and legal descriptions.
Resolves missing or contradictory information in title documents.
Prepares initial title commitment documentation per guidelines.
Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy.
May provide underwriting interpretation within guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
