Job summary

First American is seeking a Florida Commercial Title Examiner to join our team. The role is remote (US-wide) and requires Florida title examination experience. You will examine titles, summarize records, and provide underwriting interpretation for commercial properties.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 6+ years of experience, and possess state licenses as needed. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and customer service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years title examination experience.
• Florida commercial title examination experience.
• Multiple state licenses to do business in broad area.
• Strong detail and quality orientation.

• Strong MS skill set.
• Knowledge of terms used in title documents.
• Ability to read and decipher legal descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Examine chain of title for commercial/industrial properties.
• Perform title examinations of complex orders.
• Abstract and analyze recorded documents affecting title.
• Verify ownership and legal descriptions for multi-site properties.
• Write title products per guidelines.
• Provide underwriting interpretation.
• Possibly interact with customers.
