Job summary

Providence is seeking a Senior Claims Manager - Employment Practice Liability (EPL) for a remote position. You will manage EPL claims, perform coverage analyses, coordinate investigations, and direct litigation strategies with defense counsel while ensuring adherence to company policies and authority limits.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience in Employment Law or risk management, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ to 15 years of experience in Employment Law, Risk Management or EPL/insurance related to Employment Practices.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience handling EPL claims and coordinating with defense counsel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve EPL coverage issues.
• Investigate claims via telephone, correspondence, and with attorneys and partners.
• Present claims trends to leadership including coverage, liability and exposure.
• Analyze information to determine ultimate exposure to the organization.
• Negotiate and resolve claims with defense counsel within authority.
• Provide reports on significant exposure cases to leadership and reinsurers.
• Attend trials or mediations when warranted or requested.
• Ensure timely referrals to reinsurers.
