Job summary

Xtensys is seeking a Senior Epic Client Systems Administrator to lead Epic on AWS deployments, optimize web, client deployment, and service servers hosted in AWS, and drive infrastructure strategy.

This 100% remote role requires strong Windows Server, AWS, and Epic certifications, with ET hours and on-call rotation. You will mentor staff, coordinate upgrades, and ensure HIPAA-compliant operations across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Epic Hyperspace Deployment Administration and Epic Web/Service Server certifications required.
• AWS certification(s) preferred; strong AWS platform knowledge essential.
• Experience with load balancers and enterprise web server platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of Epic platforms on AWS for scalability and high availability.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex Epic client systems issues on AWS.
• Drive platform upgrades, AWS capacity planning, and tech refresh cycles.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering on EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, and VPC decisions.
• Develop automation using PowerShell or Python to improve operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Epic Hyperspace Deployment Administration certification

Epic Web and Service Server Administration certification

AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS SysOps Administrator Associate certification
