Job summary

Performance Review Institute (PRI) is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide leadership in engineering management, standards development, and technical report creation. You will facilitate and manage working groups, coordinate technical activities, and align programs with strategic goals across SAE ITC and PRI collaborations.

You will plan and lead meetings, prepare materials, and support industry conferences while advancing industry standards and regulatory compliance through collaboration

Qualifications

• 6 years' experience in automotive or automated vehicle engineering, project management, project engineering, or technical management roles.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
• Technical/engineering expertise with experience in standards use, development, or auditing (automated/automotive preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with excellent analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to organize effectively, work independently, manage multiple assignments, and handle confidential information.
• Strong project management skills and global/cultural sensitivities.
• Attention to detail and teamwork/problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of trade association operations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate working groups to develop industry guidance, standards and technical reports.
• Develop proposals for statements of work for new and revised standards and reports.
• Plan and conduct technical meetings and seminars for industry coordination.
• Support program communications strategy and marketing materials development.
• Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, minutes, and reporting.
• Support leadership committees and identify process improvements and best practices.
• Drive program alignment with deadlines, goals, and milestones.
